Teletype Support
Start with the connection type you are using. If the answer is not here, email support@teletype.sh.
Open Connections, choose Add Connection, then select SSH, Mosh, SFTP, RDP, or VNC. Enter the host, port, username, and authentication required by the destination. The host must already provide the selected service and be reachable from your network or VPN.
Use SSH for a standard remote shell. Use Mosh when the host supports it and the network changes or drops often. Terminal settings include themes, fonts, cursor behavior, key repeat, selection, and keyboard controls.
Browse compatible server or NAS folders, upload through Files, download for Quick Look, rename items, create folders, and remove files or empty directories.
Tap to click, double-tap to open, pinch to zoom, and pan while the desktop is larger than the viewport. Use the input controls for modifiers and text. The Windows host must provide RDP.
Use VNC for compatible Mac screen sharing, Linux desktops, and other VNC servers. Choose Fit, Fill, or Actual Size, zoom and pan as needed, and select a display when the server exposes more than one.
Start a terminal or remote desktop session, then use its Picture in Picture control to keep the session visible while moving to another app. Picture in Picture is part of Teletype Pro.
iCloud sync can keep saved connections, settings, themes, and remote desktop defaults available across your iPhone and iPad. Keychain Credentials is a separate setting for syncing saved secrets with iCloud Keychain.
Check the hostname, port, destination service, local network access, VPN, firewall, and whether the server is listening. Teletype does not provide a relay or make a private host publicly reachable.
Email support@teletype.sh. Include your device, iOS or iPadOS version, connection type, server software when known, and the exact error shown. Never send a password or private key.
